High Friction Surfacing

High Friction or Anti-Skid surfacing is a resin based road surfacing material designed to provide high skid resistance. The resin is combined with calcined bauxite aggregates to create a high friction surface.

These surfaces are most commonly applied at junctions, traffic light approaches, roundabouts, motorway slip roads and traffic calming schemes. They are also used on decked car parks, cycle paths and areas where vehicles are in close proximity to pedestrians - such as order collection bays.

The exact material used will depend on the environment and intended use.

High Friction surfacing is available in a wide variety of colours to demarcate areas such as cycle lanes and footpaths. The surface is usually ready for normal use 3 hours after application.

From reinstatement, small works and repairs, to complete new installations, JHB UK Ltd is experienced in working to short time-scales to comply with highway permits and notices.

We offer competitive prices and all work is guaranteed for 12 months.
